If you can't adopt a cat or a dog, you can at least give one of our furries a temporary home until they find a forever family. Some of them stay with us for a long time.
Why is a foster needed?
Fostering a dog or cat is an extra chance for adoption! When animals are given the necessary time, their personality and habits can be truly disovered, so that we can find their perfect family. Foster family can teach them to behave in the home or maybe even basic commands.
Not only that, but the more animals there are in the foster, the more space we have for other animals in need. Foster families are very rare and each of them is precious. So if you have a free room corner, don't hesitate to host a pet when needed.
It is quite difficult for our dogs to stay locked in pens for so long, as this can even affect their health and behaviour. Some of them become withdrawn or anxious. The stress and frustration of being locked up makes some of them develop fixations that are difficult to remove. Imagine that you were found on the street or at the edge of the forest and then locked in the same space for years. Of course, you have food, a safe place far from the harsh weather and people who will take care of you every day, keep your pen clean and treat you if you get sick. But there are dozens more like you, and the affection of the people who take care of you and the time when get out of that closed space are limited, despite the love they offer you and their care for your wellbeing.
It's not easier for cats either.
The houses they live in are often full of other cats in need, each with their own story. Some, such as orphaned puppies, require special care and others need space because they would prefer to be alone. These caregivers do this after they get back from work and, as in the case of dogs, they cannot spend proper time with each of the cats that have. We must also take into account the fact that for some cats it is stressful to live in a crowded space.
What are the requirements?
Any foster is welcome, but to ensure the well-being of both the animals and the host family, we have a few requirements before giving an animal into foster. The person wishing to become a foster must be the owner of the dwelling or, if the property is rent, they must have the owner's consent to live with an animal.

Placing a pet in foster does not mean that we forget the animal there. We are constantly coming to your aid with information. The costs of maintenance, food and possible treatments are covered by the organisation. If you are willing to share your space and time with one of our furries, we provide everything you need.
How can you become a foster?
If you meet the requirements to be a host for a dog or cat, you can apply by completing the foster application. We will analyze it carefully and we will call you or write to you to discuss.
If everything is fine after the necessary checks, we will decide together if the fur you choose is right for you or if you do not have preferences, we will choose the right one together.
