Neutering

One of our most important goals is to reduce the abandon rate by neutering stray dogs and cats and educating the population about neutering their own pets. It is the only effective way to prevent the birth of unwanted puppies and the unnecessary suffering of pets.

In 2012 we started the Sterilization Marathon, a free sterilisation campaign for stray animals and animals that belong to families with a poor financial situation. Through this, in recent years we have neutered thousands of dogs and cats for free, the campaign taking place throughout the year and aiming to reduce uncontrolled mating and abandonment.

To change people's attitude towards neutering of pets, we have made a leaflet to educate the population and eliminate myths and misconceptions about spaying and castration.

Saving, helping and protecting animals

Our organisation intervenes as much as possible in cases of abandonment and veterinary emergency, offering a chance to unwanted or injured animals. We strive to stop the increasingly overwhelming suffering.

As much as we can, we take on urgent cases that cannot be postponed. Their treatment is done entirely with the support of donors. We try to set an example in society so that people no longer pass by indifferently, but help as much as they can, because no help is small or insignificant.

With the help of the community we want to raise animal protection to European standards and in accordance with the European Convention for the Protection of Animals. We hope that through our continuous work, the members of our community will become more responsible, with compassion for animals and concerned about their welfare.

Adoption

Another important part of our activity is preparing and promoting for adoption the animals in our care, as well as educating the public to reduce abandonment. Rescueing an animal in difficulty does not end with taking care of it, but continues until we find a suitable family and we can assure a responsible adoption in a family suitable for each individual pet.

All animals leave to their families dewormed, vaccinated and sterilized according to the appropriate age and only through adoption contract, accompanied by a health book. More information about our requirements and steps to adoption can be found on our adoption process page

If you want to adopt a lifelong friend, we invite you to meet the animals in our care.

Education

Our goal is nurturing empathy in people, so they help us save and protect animals. We try to inform adults and children about the situation of stray animals, the appropriate behavior around animals and the animal welfare.

We also educate people about the proper living conditions of animals, because we want humans and animals to live happily together.
